Masako hails from Kyoto and was born as the only child of a wealthy and very traditional family. More often than not his parents were out attending social gatherings or business meetings, so he was left to raise himself for the most part. He received private lessons which centered on tradition, performing arts, and social graces from an early age. Because of his parents rarely being around he had more freedom than most, and often left the house to explore the city's points of interest (or as many as he was allowed into at his young age). Through this and his education he accumulated a love of both the modern city with all its lights and attractions and the traditions of the past. When he reached the age of fifteen his family moved to Anjiresu, which caused him a great deal of grief. Because of the lack of any good private teachers, he was sent to Kuzuru High. Although he has adjusted and grown to like his new hometown after having lived there a year, he still gets homesick, sometimes severely. During the day Masako can usually be found anywhere that there are lots of people, especially the Kuzuru Mall, though he has been known to visit Tokorozawa Memorial Park as well. At night he can either be found at Danse Macabre, or simply wandering the streets of downtown Kuzuru admiring the lights and scenery. He enjoys listening to music, flirting, being noticed by people (but not stared at), confusing people about his gender, and attending cultural events such as festivals and kabuki plays. He has a slight phobia of roaches and many other crawling insects, and will either run off screaming or try to kill with the nearest blunt object. He is usually in good spirits, but is also very fickle and strange, so he can be hard to predict most of the time and can switch moods quite rapidly. Because his parents are gone so often, he sometimes allows others to stay in the family mansion, which is quite large.
